Rawalpindi - June 16, 2017: 

Commander 10 Corps Lieutenant General Nadeem Raza visited troops deployed along LOC in Iftikharabad Sector. He reviewed the operational preparedness and expressed his satisfaction on operational readiness and vigilance exercised by forward troops. Commander expressed his concern over continuous cease fire violations by Indian troops targeting innocent civil population residing close to LOC. While appreciating the indomitable spirit, he lauded the high morale of deployed troops and unflinching resolve of civil population of the area and urged for a befitting response to Indian cease fire violations.

Rawalpindi - June 16, 2017: 

General Zubair Mahmood Hayat, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, during his 2nd day of the official visit to China, called on Air Marshal Xu Qilian, Vice Chairman of Central Military Commission. Matters related to prevailing strategic environment and bilateral defence & security cooperation were discussed during the meeting.

General Zubair Mahmood Hayat also called on Mr Yu Zhengsheng, Chairman Chinese People's Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Mr Meng Jianzhou, Secretary of Political and Judiciary Commission and Mr Tang Dengjie, Administrator of State Administration for Science, Technology and Industry for National Defence (SASTIND). During these meetings both sides resolved to stand together as Iron Brothers during current and emerging scenarios.

CJCSC also had an interaction with Chinese Think Tanks, "China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations", "Academy of Military Sciences" and "China Institute for International Strategic Studies”. CJCSC dilated upon emerging security challenges and response strategies both at regional and global level.

Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad

Rawalpindi - June 16, 2017: 

During  intelligence based operation  Security Forces recovered huge quantity of arms and ammunition  from village Sar Kunr and Manzr khel of Tehsil Datta Khel, North Waziristan Agency .The recovered arms & ammo include   12.7 mm ,HMGs,  SMGs,Missile launcher, Pistols, large number of RPG 7 and ammunition of various calibres including Rockets of RPG7, Draganov, Rockets of 107 mm ,ammunition boxes of 12.7,HMGs,SMG ,SBRL, and IEDs along with detonators.

Rawalpindi - June 16, 2017: 

Chief of Army Staff(COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa addressed participants of National Security and War Course at National Defence University Islamabad.

Highlighting internal and external challenges to national security, COAS said that the full spectrum of threat demands comprehensive national response and Army is fully engaged in enabling that response in coordination with other institutions of the state.
COAS said that terrorism has no religion, sect or ethnicity. Pakistan has fought against this menace indiscriminately and shall root it out through ongoing operation Radd-ul-Fasaad. He said that terrorism can not be defeated by closing eyes from one's own responsibilities and resorting to throwing blames outside as being done by few players in the region.

He said that Pakistan Army is committed to defence and security of the country and shall continue to perform with support of the people of Pakistan.

Earlier,  on arrival at NDU, COAS was received by President NDU Lieutenant General Rizwan Akhtar.

Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad

Rawalpindi - June 16, 2017: 

A major terrorist activity foiled in DG Khan. Pakistan Rangers Punjab conducted IBOs in DG Khan last night.  During exchange of fire 2 terrorists were killed who were planning terrorist action during a religious activity.
